Languages and translation: how-to

Interface language

Each user picks English or French in their Profile (/profil), along with their time zone. E-mails are sent in the recipient’s language.

Translating conversations

Automatic translation of conversations is not enabled yet on the service. The settings page described below already exists and shows the state of the translation service.

1. An administrator opens Settings › Conversation translation (/o/<your-organisation>/parametres/traduction).

2. They turn translation on by giving explicit consent, which is dated and logged.

3. Messages received in another language are translated for agents; the original stays available under the translation. Agents can also have their reply translated and review it before sending.

Protecting content

• Addresses, links and references are masked before anything is sent to the translation service; attachments are never sent.
