TikivioIMAP and SMTP mailboxes
Connect one or more existing mailboxes (up to your plan’s limit): Tikivio fetches messages over IMAP and sends replies through your own SMTP server, from your own address.
Fetching that leaves your mailbox alone
- Messages are fetched automatically every 5 minutes.
- The mailbox is read in read-only mode: no message is deleted, moved or marked as read.
- The original message is kept and available to administrators; auto-replies and mail loops are detected.
Every reply finds its request
Answers from your end customers are attached to the right request thanks to a signed reply-to address and standard threading headers. An unknown sender or a doubtful match never gets into someone else’s request: the message opens a new request and an entry in the To review queue, where an agent decides.
Tracked outgoing mail
Acknowledgements and replies go through a sending queue with automatic retries; the delivery state of each e-mail is shown on the request.
Connection security
- Mailbox passwords are encrypted and never displayed again; a connection test with step-by-step diagnostics runs before saving.
- Servers are checked before every connection: internal and reserved addresses are refused.
Current limits
Mailboxes connect with a password (or an app password). Providers that require OAuth sign-in are not supported yet.
